I joined the WoodstockLive.net team my junior year of high school. When I began, I strictly participated in the sports broadcasting program as a switcher and camera operator. The Audio/Visual teacher at my school then invited me into his film production class, known as WTV7. When I came onto the broadcast crew, the broadcasts looked like the video below. This was my first ever live news broadcast, I was behind the TriCaster and produced/edited some of the content for our weekly news broadcast.
After working on improving the quality of our broadcast for 2 months, I had completely transformed our set into a multicam virtual studio. Below is a edited broadcast showing how I utilized virtual sets.
After redoing our news broadcast, my Audio/Visual approached me with a different task, to find a way to improve our basketball broadcast, as our school was selected to host the championship tournament. Below is an example of how our broadcasts looked when I first joined the basketball streaming team.
After a lot of work building out an OCS -> VMix -> Stream -> Scorebug, and using an audio board my program wasn't using, I had reworked the basics of out basketball broadcast, making it present as a more professional stream. Below is a example of the stream after being redone and my play-by-play announcing.
I also made audio changes to our stadium to increase the stream quality of our in person announcer. This change also enabled the program to bring 2 separate play-by-play announcers to our outdoor stadium, something that was not possible prior. Below is the before audio.
Below is the after audio.
